An arena in the Yamakoshi district of Nagaoka that hosts Ushi no Tsunotsuki bull sumo, a nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. The surrounding area of terraced rice paddies and koi ponds is recognized as a Japanese Nationally Important Agricultural Heritage System and is known as the birthplace of nishikigoi.
