Located in Doshomachi, Osaka's historic pharmaceutical district, this shrine enshrines Sukunahikona-no-Mikoto, Japan's god of medicine, together with the Chinese medicine deity Shennong, hence its nickname "Shinno-san". Its Shinno Festival every November 22–23 is called the last festival of Osaka's year, known for papier-mâché tiger charms against illness.
