A atmospheric shrine dedicated to the water deity Takaokami, nestled in the forested mountains north of Kyoto. Famous for its red lantern-lined stone stairway, water fortune-telling, and summer kawadoko riverside dining. Fireflies can be spotted along the river in mid-June.
