A row of twelve rice warehouses built in 1893, now a symbol of Sakata. The zelkova tree-lined path along the warehouses is one of the most photographed spots in Yamagata Prefecture. Part of the complex houses the Shonai Rice Historical Museum and a souvenir shop.
