Homma Museum of Art

One of Japan's first private art museums, established in 1947 in the former villa of the wealthy Homma merchant family. The collection includes important cultural properties such as samurai-era paintings and tea ceremony items. The beautiful Kakubu-en strolling garden with borrowed scenery of Mt. Chokai is a highlight.
