The former terminus of the Taisha Line, built in 1924 as a grand pure-Japanese-style station to receive pilgrims to Izumo Taisha. Closed in 1990 and designated an Important Cultural Property, its cavernous waiting hall, ticket windows and platform survive as a monument to Taisho-era railway architecture.
