A domed multi-purpose stadium in Odate, Akita, named after Hachiko, the loyal Akita dog born in this city. Completed in 1997, its roof is built from locally grown Akita cedar and is one of the largest wooden-structure domes in Japan. It hosts sports events, concerts and the annual Odate Kiritanpo Festival.
