44th Ueda Sanada Festival

About this event

Ueda's biggest historical festival, staged through the city centre streets. A grand warrior procession of townspeople dressed as Sanada samurai is joined by a matchlock gun troop demonstration, taiko drum performances by local groups and a re-enacted battle play depicting the Sanada clan's stand against the Tokugawa.
