Day of Merit

About this event

The Day of Merit at Todai-ji is a special observance on which visiting and praying at the temple is believed to grant particularly great spiritual benefit. Devout worshippers make a point of coming to the Great Buddha Hall on this auspicious day to receive the heightened blessings associated with it.
