29th Nobeoka Tenkaichi Takigi Noh

About this event

An open-air noh performance by torchlight on the Ninomaru plaza of the Nobeoka Castle ruins. This year the Katayama family, a leading noh house from Kyoto, performs "Funa Benkei", the tale of Minamoto no Yoshitsune and his retainer Benkei, with local children taking supporting roles. Doors 15:30, curtain 17:30.
