Senkoji Temple

A mountaintop temple in Onomichi offering breathtaking panoramic views over the city, Seto Inland Sea, and Shimanami Kaido bridges. Reached by the Senkoji Ropeway, the temple complex features a dramatic vermillion main hall built into the cliff face. The surrounding Senkoji Park is famous for cherry blossoms in spring and the Literature Path with stone inscriptions by famous Japanese authors.
