A beautiful Edo-period daimyo garden built in 1818 by the Kishu Tokugawa clan in Wakayama. This rare shioiri-style garden incorporates seawater from the nearby coast into its central pond, creating a unique landscape where the tide rises and falls naturally. The garden features about 100 Japanese hydrangea varieties that bloom in mid-June.
