Japan's oldest surviving kabuki playhouse, built in 1835 at the foot of Kotohiragu Shrine. Visitors can explore the revolving stage, trapdoors and backstage; every spring it hosts the celebrated Shikoku Konpira Kabuki Grand Performance.
