An open-air bullfighting arena in the Oguriyama hills of Ojiya, home to "Ushi no Tsunotsuki" — a 1,000-year-old bull sumo tradition designated an Important Intangible Folk Cultural Property. Bulls clash head-to-head in bouts that end in a draw, guided by handlers called seko. Tournaments are held roughly monthly from May to November.
