The stone-walled remains of the castle Gamo Ujisato built in 1588, now a national historic site and one of Japan's 100 Fine Castles. Nothing survives above the ramparts, but the massive masonry and the hilltop terraces give sweeping views over Matsusaka. The samurai row houses of Gojoban Yashiki stand just below, and the Ujisato Festival starts here each November.
