About this event
Matsusaka's citizens' festival honouring Gamo Ujisato, the warlord who founded the castle town in 1588. About 200 people in armour - Ujisato himself, his wife Fuyuhime, matchlock gunners and foot soldiers - form a warrior procession that sets off from the Matsusaka Castle ruins and parades past the Gojoban Yashiki samurai houses and the old Doshin-machi quarter.
