A hill east of Aizu-Wakamatsu city center, known as the site where the young Byakkotai (White Tiger Corps) samurai took their own lives during the Boshin War of 1868. Their graves and memorial monuments stand at the summit, which offers a sweeping view over the city toward Tsuruga Castle.
