Lafcadio Hearn Memorial Museum

A museum dedicated to Lafcadio Hearn (Koizumi Yakumo), the Greek-born writer who moved to Matsue in 1890 and became one of the first Western interpreters of Japanese culture. Located along the samurai district near Matsue Castle, it displays over 1,000 items including handwritten manuscripts and personal belongings.
