Yatadera Temple (Hydrangea Temple)

Known as the 'Hydrangea Temple', Yatadera in Yamatokoriyama features 60 varieties and 10,000 hydrangea plants across its spacious grounds. Founded in 679 AD, it is also considered the birthplace of Jizo worship in Japan. The temple's Important Cultural Property Jizo Bosatsu statue and tranquil hilltop setting make it a rewarding visit.
