A shrine deep in the Kobugahara highlands of Kanuma, Tochigi, dedicated to Yamato Takeru. Tengu are revered as the deity's messengers, earning it the nickname "the Tengu shrine"; its tengu masks and calligraphic goshuin seals are famous nationwide. Once a training ground for Nikko mountain ascetics, it also has a fine strolling garden, Kohoen, known for autumn colours.
