Kaikyo Yume Tower

At 153 metres, Kaikyo Yume Tower is the tallest building in Shimonoseki and the symbol of the city's waterfront. Its spherical glass observation deck, 143 metres up, gives a 360-degree view over the Kanmon Strait, the Kanmon Bridge and, on clear days, as far as Kyushu and the Sea of Japan. The tower forms part of the Kaikyo Messe Shimonoseki convention complex and is lit in changing colours after dark.
