Akkeshi's main park, spread over a hill overlooking Akkeshi Bay. About 1,200 cherry trees of roughly 30 varieties bloom here from May, making it one of eastern Hokkaido's best-known hanami spots, and the grounds host the town's spring cherry-and-oyster festival and the autumn oyster festival. A campground, museum and forest walking paths share the site.
