The only surviving Edo-period government outpost in Japan, originally built in 1692 as the local administrative headquarters. The beautifully preserved complex includes a magistrate's office, rice storehouse, and interrogation room, offering a fascinating look at samurai-era governance. A morning market is held at its front plaza.
