One of only 12 original castles remaining in Japan, Marugame Castle is famous for having the tallest stone walls of any Japanese castle at 60 meters. The compact three-story keep sits atop a hill offering panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea and the Sanuki Plain. A designated Important Cultural Property.
