Akan Ainu Art Week 2026

About this event

For three weeks the Ainu Kotan and hot-spring town at Lake Akan become an open-air gallery. In its third edition, Ainu artists and contemporary artists collaborate on large-scale installations sited around the lakeside and the town, shown alongside new work made during artist residencies. Admission is free.
