About this event
About 20,000 bamboo lanterns light up the old castle-town streets of Murakami, centered on Komachi-dori and Anzen-koji (the black-fence lane), with free live music such as taiko drumming at nearby temples, shrines and townhouses. Lighting begins at 16:30. Marking its 25th year, the 2026 edition is announced as the final one.
