About this event
The annual grand festival of Iwafune Shrine in Murakami, with the eve festival on October 18 and the main festival on the 19th, when ornate floats parade through the harbor town. Praying for safe voyages and good catches, it has over 500 years of history and is a Niigata Prefecture Intangible Folk Cultural Property. Food stalls run October 18–20.
