About this event
One of Japan's three great fireworks festivals held at Asahara Shrine in Ojiya. Approximately 15,000 fireworks are launched over two evenings, featuring the world's largest yonshaku-dama (four-shaku) shells. Each firework is personally dedicated by locals as offerings to the shrine.
