Shiokawa New Soba Festival

About this event

A one-day new-buckwheat event at the Shiokawa Kurashikan storehouse hall in Kitakata. Members of the local soba association hand-cut and boil noodles to order using buckwheat flour grown on the slopes of Mt. Okuni, and sell fresh soba and local produce on the day.
