About this event
An exhibition at the Amakusa Christian Museum using rare painted maps and scrolls surviving in Amakusa and on the Shimabara Peninsula to trace the Shimabara-Amakusa Rebellion. Battle maps showing the positions of the Christian rebels and the shogunate forces sit alongside portraits of Amakusa Shiro and his father.
