Gujo Odori Dance Festival 2026

About this event

One of Japan three great folk dances, held over 30 nights from July to September in Gujo Hachiman, Gifu. Anyone can join the dancing in the streets to live shamisen music. The highlight is the four-night tetsuya odori all-night dancing marathon from August 13 to 16, when thousands dance from 8 PM until dawn. UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
