A picturesque mountain castle overlooking the charming river town of Gujo Hachiman in Gifu Prefecture. One of Japan's oldest wooden reconstructed castles (1933). The autumn mist-shrouded castle views are iconic. The town below is famous for the Gujo Odori summer dance festival.
