About this event
One of Japan's major Tanabata (Star Festival) celebrations, held annually since 1956. The streets around Masumida Shrine are decorated with colorful Tanabata streamers and ornaments. The four-day festival features stage performances, a dance contest, cosplay parade, and Bon Odori dancing, attracting over one million visitors.
