About this event
A solemn Obon ceremony held on the anniversary of the end of WWII. A giant 'Dai' (大) character is lit on Mt. Takamado, visible from Tobihino in Nara Park. A prayer for world peace that transcends religious boundaries, accompanied by memorial lanterns and traditional music.
