One of the most important Shinto shrines in the Kanto region, serving as the head shrine of over 280 Hikawa shrines. Founded over 2,400 years ago, it features a 2-kilometer zelkova-lined approach road and hosts the famous十日市 (Tokaichi) winter market every December. The shrine's tranquil grounds include a sacred pond and an ancient forest.
