Ine Funaya (Boat Houses)

A picturesque fishing village on the coast of Kyoto Prefecture where roughly 230 traditional boat houses line Ine Bay. The unique two-story structures have boat garages at water level and living quarters above. Designated as a National Important Preservation District, Ine is often called the Venice of Japan.
