A hilltop castle in Yokote, Akita, originally built in the 16th century. The current reconstructed keep serves as a local history museum with panoramic views of the Yokote Basin. The castle grounds are famous for the Yokote Kamakura Festival in February, where hundreds of snow huts are illuminated throughout the city.
