Katsurahama

Katsurahama is a scenic beach on the Pacific Ocean near Kochi City, famous for its dramatic coastal scenery and the iconic statue of Sakamoto Ryoma, the celebrated Meiji-era reformer who was born in Kochi. The beach is known for its moonlit beauty, traditionally considered one of the finest in Japan for moon viewing. Although swimming is not permitted, the beach offers wonderful walking and exceptional views of the Pacific.
