Japan's first convent, founded in 1898 by eight nuns from France. The current chapel, rebuilt in 1927, blends Gothic and Romanesque styles with beautiful brick walls and arched windows. Visitors can view the chapel exterior, stroll the peaceful grounds with a statue of the Virgin Mary, and purchase handmade Madeleine cakes and cookies at the gift shop.
