A highland flower garden at about 550 m on the northern foot of the Kirishima range. Poppies and rapeseed cover the slopes in spring and roughly a million cosmos bloom in autumn, all framed by the ridgeline of Mt. Hinamori and Mt. Karakuni. A shop, restaurant and footbath serve visitors, and the autumn cosmos festival draws crowds from across Kyushu.
