A beautiful park built on the ruins of Tsurugaoka Castle, the seat of the Shonai feudal domain. Home to Shonai Shrine and approximately 730 cherry trees, making it one of Yamagata Prefecture's top cherry blossom viewing spots. The park also houses the Taiho-kan museum, a striking Western-style building.
