A faithfully reconstructed three-tiered keep in Shiroishi, once the seat of the Katakura clan who served the Date lords of Sendai for generations. The wooden reconstruction, completed in 1995, uses traditional joinery, and the surrounding Masuoka Park is a popular spot for cherry blossoms and autumn festivals.
