A hilltop castle in Otaki, Chiba, first raised as a modern fortress by Honda Tadakatsu, one of Tokugawa Ieyasu's four great generals. The present keep, rebuilt in 1975, houses a branch of the Chiba Prefectural Museum devoted to the samurai culture of the Boso peninsula.
