Tojinbo
Sakai, Japan
🌿 Nature

Tojinbo is a dramatic stretch of basalt rock cliffs along the Sea of Japan coast in Fukui Prefecture, formed by ancient volcanic activity and shaped by centuries of wave erosion. The columns of basalt rise up to 25 meters from the sea, creating a rugged and spectacular coastal panorama. Boat tours allow visitors to see the cliffs from the water, while the clifftop promenade offers sweeping views of the Japan Sea horizon.
