The guardian shrine of Kurashiki, standing on Tsurugatayama hill just above the Bikan Historical Quarter. Its rock formations are believed to be an ancient place of worship, and the grounds hold a famous 300-year-old 'Akebono' wisteria designated a national natural monument. The hilltop terrace gives a sweeping view over the white-walled merchant town below.
