Angel Road

Angel Road is a magical tidal sandbar on Shodoshima Island in Kagawa Prefecture that appears and disappears with the tides, connecting small islands twice a day at low tide. According to local legend, couples who walk the sandbar hand in hand and make a wish at the shrine at the end will have their wishes granted by the angels. The path is especially beautiful at sunset when the sea reflects the golden light of the evening sky.
