Famous as Japan's earliest-blooming plum garden, with over 460 plum trees of 59 varieties. In winter the annual Plum Blossom Festival draws thousands of visitors, while in late May and June the garden transforms into a magical firefly viewing spot with released Genji fireflies dancing along the paths at dusk.
