Ruriko-ji Five-story Pagoda

Ruriko-ji Five-Story Pagoda in Yamaguchi City is one of Japan's three most beautiful pagodas and a designated National Treasure, believed to have been built in the early 15th century. The elegant five-story pagoda stands 31.2 meters tall in the serene park of Kosan-ji Temple, beautifully reflected in a tranquil pond. The pagoda's graceful proportions and the reflection in the still water make it one of the most photographed images in all of western Japan.
