A historic Shinto shrine in central Hiroshima, located near the Atomic Bomb Dome along the Motoyasu River. Known for its annual Nagoshi-sai summer purification festival in late June, featuring a chinowa (reed ring) ceremony and fireworks. The shrine survived the atomic bombing and has been an important community spiritual center for centuries.
