One of only three Hachiman-zukuri style shrines in Japan, built in 1667. Located near Dogo Onsen, it features 135 steep stone steps and is the centerpiece of the Matsuyama Autumn Festival, where competing mikoshi (portable shrines) clash dramatically at dawn.
